Classroom Rules:
Classroom rules are extremely important. Having the
students contribute to the making of the rules gives them
a sense of ownership and responsibility. It might also be
fun to have all students sign a behavioral contract. This
way I can go back and remind them that they signed this contract so I hold them accountable for their behavior.

You are Part of a Team, Valuable, Listened to, and Successful!"

Newsletter:
I think one of the most important aspects of a classroom is communication. This includes communication within the classroom and out. Communication with the community and parents is something I believe is crucial to a successful classroom. Sending out a weekly newsletter is a great way for parents to know what is happening in their child's classroom.
Displaying Student Work:
Displaying student work is so important. I love this set up because it gives each students a spot to put their best work. They can take assignments in and out of the sleeves depending on what they want to display. Students really feel like they are a part of the classroom community when their work is up around the classroom.
